Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you use LinkDolphin, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Effective October 20, 2026
LinkDolphin is a registered trade name of Loyaro Media, registered in the Netherlands (KVK 97911259).

LinkDolphin helps website owners and SEO teams keep track of backlinks. To provide that service, we need to process some information about account holders, their websites, and the links they choose to monitor. This Privacy Policy explains how that works.

Loyaro Media operates linkdolphin.com and dashboard.linkdolphin.com. As the data controller, we decide how and why personal data is used to run the website, user accounts, billing and support. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@linkdolphin.com.

Information we collect

Some information comes directly from you. Other details are generated when you use the website or the monitoring service.

Information you provide

  • Email address and account details
  • Websites, backlinks, and monitoring settings
  • Contact form messages and support requests
  • Billing details, such as your country, company or VAT information when supplied

Information from your use

  • IP address and security-related events
  • Login and account activity
  • Browser, request and server log details
  • Backlink check results, timestamps and alert history

Cookies and preferences

  • Session and sign-in cookies
  • Currency and checkout preferences
  • Cookie consent choice
  • Optional acquisition attribution, if you accept it

Stripe sends us the subscription and payment status needed to manage your plan. Billing records can also include invoices, country and tax details. We do not collect full payment card numbers through our own forms.

How we use information

We use information to run LinkDolphin and keep it reliable:

  • Creating and securing accounts, including login verification and password recovery.
  • Checking the backlinks you add, recording changes and displaying monitoring results.
  • Sending requested email or Telegram alerts, as well as essential account and billing notices.
  • Managing subscriptions, payments, invoices, refunds and related support questions.
  • Responding to messages sent through our contact form.
  • Detecting abuse, limiting automated submissions and investigating technical problems.
  • Measuring how people find LinkDolphin when they agree to optional attribution cookies.

Our legal basis depends on the purpose:

  • Contract: creating your account, monitoring backlinks, delivering alerts and managing your subscription.
  • Legitimate interests: preventing abuse, investigating errors, protecting accounts and responding to enquiries. We consider your rights when relying on this basis.
  • Legal obligations: retaining required accounting and tax records and responding to lawful requests.
  • Consent: optional acquisition attribution cookies. We do not use Google Analytics as part of this implementation.

You can withdraw cookie consent using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before you withdrew it. We need an email address to create an account; without it, we cannot provide a sign-in or send essential account notices. Other details, such as a name on the contact form, are optional.

Backlink monitoring and external websites

When you add a backlink, LinkDolphin visits or requests the relevant public web page to check whether the link is still present and whether its status has changed. We retain the URLs, selected link details, check results and related timestamps so that you can review changes over time.

These checks involve communicating with websites outside LinkDolphin. Their operators may receive technical request information, such as the requesting IP address and user agent, in the same way they would when a normal browser or automated checker visits a page. Please avoid entering private URLs or personal information that you do not have a reason to monitor.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies for sign-in, security, billing and preferences. With your permission, we also use a cookie to remember how you found LinkDolphin. Declining that optional cookie does not stop you from using the service.

The cookies present on your device depend on which features you use. For example, sign-in and checkout cookies are not all set during a normal visit to the public website. Payment checkout may also involve cookies used by Stripe on its own pages.

To change your optional-cookie choice, use Cookie settings in the footer. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

Who processes information for us

We use a small number of providers to run the service. The data each provider handles depends on which features you use.

  • Hetzner: infrastructure used to host and operate LinkDolphin.
  • Stripe: subscription billing, checkout, invoices and payment processing. Card details are entered through Stripe's payment interface, not stored as raw card details in our application database.
  • Zoho Mail: handling support emails and contact form messages.
  • Telegram: delivering notifications if you link a Telegram destination. Telegram processes messages under its own privacy terms.

Monitoring a public page may involve network intermediaries. Those services and the websites we check can receive technical request information, including IP addresses and URLs. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep information

We keep account and monitoring data while your subscription or trial is active. When access ends, monitoring is suspended and the account moves into a retention period. The current lifecycle is set to 30 days for expired trials and 60 days for expired paid subscriptions. After that period, deletion is scheduled with an additional 24-hour processing window. Reactivation or a legal obligation may change what is retained.

After an account is deleted, a limited encrypted deletion audit record may remain for up to 90 days before its identifying information is purged. Invoices and accounting records may need to be retained longer to meet legal obligations. Technical logs, backups and support emails have separate retention rules; their duration depends on operational needs, provider settings and applicable law.

You can ask us about the retention of a particular record using the contact details at the beginning of this policy.

How we protect data

We use access controls, encrypted connections, account authentication and operational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access and misuse. Contact form submissions are subject to server-side validation and rate limiting. We also maintain service checks and account lifecycle controls.

No online service can guarantee that every security risk is eliminated. If you believe your LinkDolphin account or personal information may be at risk, please contact us promptly.

International data transfers

LinkDolphin is operated from the Netherlands. Some providers, including Stripe, Zoho Mail and Telegram, may process information in more than one country, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where an international transfer requires safeguards under the GDPR, the relevant provider or transfer must be covered by an applicable mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us using the details at the beginning of this policy if you would like information about the safeguards that apply.

Your privacy rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict certain processing, object to processing, receive eligible data in a portable format or withdraw consent. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by law.

You can make a privacy request using the contact details at the beginning of this policy. We may ask for reasonable identity verification before sharing or changing account data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as LinkDolphin develops or legal requirements change. The current version will be available on this page with its revision date. If a change materially affects how we process personal information, we will provide additional notice where required.
